What We Do

Individualized treatment.

All of the therapists at Chicago Psychotherapy and Consulting personalize their treatment approach to meet your specific needs and goals. The therapy relationship works best when there is a good fit and a mutual understanding of your concerns.

We offer a free phone consultation prior to your first appointment to allow first contact and to answer any initial questions you may have. During your phone consultation, you will discuss with your therapist what type of treatment and/or resources you may need. This could include individual counseling or psychotherapy, couples/marital counseling, family therapy, child or adolescent therapy, psychological testing or psychoeducational services, or group counseling. We may also provide you with external referrals if we believe that services outside our expertise are warranted.

During your initial sessions, you and your therapist will collaborate on a treatment plan that best addresses your goals and priorities.

Fees and Insurance.

All of our clinicians are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare (through Optum), and Cigna (through Evernorth). Some of our clinicians are credentialed with other insurance plans; please check to see if your therapist takes your insurance. We will bill your insurance company if we are in-network with them; we can offer a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company if we are not.

Out of pocket fees vary by therapist level of licensure and years of experience. We may be able to offer a sliding scale for clients who are experiencing hardship. Please speak to your therapist about their individual fees during your phone consultation.
