We want you to have the best experience possible in therapy; first and foremost, that means finding a therapist who will be a good fit for you. When you reach out to us through the website, we will connect you to the therapist in our group who works with the concerns you have, who takes your insurance (if applicable), and who has availability that matches yours. The therapist will contact you via email or phone to set up a free 15-minute consultation to discuss more about you and how they can help. You can ask them any questions you have and set up your first appointment on that first call.
-
After your consultation with your therapist, you will receive an email from our online client portal, Therapy Notes. On the portal you will find forms to complete with your personal information, insurance information, our practice policies, and other relevant information. Please complete these forms at least 48 hours prior to your first session. You can reach out to your therapist with any questions.

Yes! All of our therapists are in-network with BCBS PPO, Cigna (through Evernorth), and United Healthcare (through Optum). If we are out of network with your insurance, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance or, in some cases, we can bill your insurance directly. If you are using your out of network benefits, you will pay upfront for your sessions and your insurance company will reimburse you directly. If you do not have insurance coverage, speak to your therapist about arranging an out-of-pocket fee.
-
Our therapists offer in-person sessions as well as virtual sessions via a secure online platform. Please talk with your therapist about your preference.

None of our clinicians prescribe medication, but combining therapy and medication is sometimes indicated. If you or your therapist think that medication may help, you can discuss your options with your therapist, and they can provide you with a referral to a psychiatrist or other prescriber if needed.

Psychodynamic therapy works best when sessions are scheduled and attended consistently, usually once per week. When there are changes in your schedule, please discuss this directly with your therapist in advance if possible; rescheduling sessions is always preferred to cancellation. If canceling a session is unavoidable, please let your therapist know with at least 24 hours notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice and “no-shows” will be billed directly to your account at the full session rate and are not paid by insurance.
